This was my first time hearing “In the Flesh” by Blondie, and WOW… this was not the side of Blondie I expected. ✨

Instead of the sharp punk/new wave energy I usually associate with them, this song feels dreamy, romantic, retro, and beautifully smooth. Debbie Harry’s voice has such a soft, cinematic quality here, and the whole track feels like a vintage pop moment with a little edge underneath.
