Blondie Fan Club

Blondie Fan Club

The Blondie Fan Club started in the late 1970’s. I collected the items on this page searching on ebay. Most of the stuff is very collectable and sought after worldwide.
I don’t really know much of the background behind the magazine and it’s creators, only what I’ve read in the actual fan club magazines. I’ve scanned everything in so you should be able to read each page!
As well as the magazines, I’ve also included a few items that were sold through the magazine like the fan club patch, badges, scarves, band member picture cards, posters, tour programs, fan club flexi disc, etc.
Although this is not a full complete list of the fan club items, I will continue to search and track down more for the site when items become available.

1978 USA Fan Club Newsletter #1
Together with the very first USA Newsletter from 1978, I’ve included all the items that came in the BFC envelope including badge, membership card and band member photo cards.

1979 USA Fan Club Newsletter #2
This was the first Newsletter written under new management in 1979. I’ve also included the Plastic Letters Lyrics Poster which was available from the order form on the back page of this magazine. Also included is the Blondie Family Tree Poster which goes up to the recording of the fourth Blondie album.

1979 USA Fan Club Newsletter #3
The third USA Newsletter to be issued. Includes a few pictures from the film Roadie, letters from all band members as well as the pen-pals section.

1979 UK Fan Club Newsletter #1
The first of the UK Newsletters is quite interesting when you read the original ‘Track Listing’ for the not yet then released ‘Eat To The Beat’. A track titled ‘Defectors’ written by D. Harry and F. Infante, could this be ‘Victor’?

1979 UK Fan Club Newsletter #2
UK issue 2 includes some really great pages and also more detailed merchandise items. I have included the Deborah Harry Poster and the 1980 European tour Program.

1980 UK Fan Club Newsletter #3
UK issue 3 includes some really great live pictures. I have included the Deborah Harry Poster P8 and Deborah Harry Poster P9 both of which were photos by Chris Stein and the Blondie Gift Book.

1980 UK Fan Club Newsletter #4
UK issue 4 packed with more news, pics and info on our favourite New York band. Once again I’ve also included some of the merchandise advertised in this issue including the 1980 European Tour Program M1, the Blondie Gift Book M2, Parallel Lines Tour Program M3, Eat To The Beat Songbook M5, and a Debbie Harry Poster P11 photographed by Francesco Scavullo.

1980 UK Fan Club Mini-Bio
The Blondie Fan Club Mini-Bio was a one-off bio featuring pages on each individual band member plus a history of the band and an introduction by Sara Worley.

1980 USA & UK International Fan Club Newsletter #1
This is a very special issue because of all the great handwritten letters from all the members of the band and lots of stuff about the then new album ‘Autoamerican’. There was also a competition to win a copy of a very special fan club flexi disc which I’ve added below.

1981 UK International Fan Club Newsletter #2
Lots of stuff in this issue and loads of pics from Debbie’s film ‘Union City’.

1981 USA International Fan Club Newsletter #2
Lots of stuff in this issue including more handwritten letters from the band and a detailed story of the making of the album ‘Autoamerican’.

1981 UK International Fan Club Newsletter #3
If you read the letter from Paul M. Bertie you’ll see the sad news that Blondie’s management asked him to wind up the Blondie fan club. I’ve included all the order forms that were stored inside, an official Fan Club Patch and a Yellow Blondie Scarf.

1981 USA International Fan Club Newsletter #3
In this issue there’s more handwritten letters from the band and a really strange drawing by Chris Stein.

Misc Fan Club Merchandise
In this last section I’ve added a few other items that were from the Blondie Fan Club including a different set of band member Photo Cards and the 2 sided Order Form that came with the original copy of my ‘Parallel Lines’ Picture Disc album. As well as more order and subscription forms.
