Timex’s New £250 Supergirl Collab Watch Is a Studded Tribute to Debbie Harry

Timex has unveiled one of its more unexpected collaborations: a new Q Timex inspired by Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry.

Created in partnership with DC’s upcoming Supergirl film, the Supergirl x Blondie x Q Timex combines comic-book imagery, punk styling and the brand’s popular 1970s-inspired sports watch design.

The model is centred on a colourful pop-art portrait of Harry, whose image dominates the dial in a style that recalls both vintage comic strips and punk-era posters.

The watch is housed in a 36mm black stainless-steel case and features a rotating bezel marked with both the Blondie and Supergirl names in a stylised “intergalactic” script.

Elsewhere, studded details on the leather strap lend the watch a certain rock-and-roll chic, while luminous hands, a domed acrylic crystal and quartz movement will put classic Q Timex fans in familiar territory.

Although superhero collaborations are hardly new, this is surely the first to combine a movie tie-in with a retro rock icon, and to use punk design cues.
