From Paul Mescal to Kate Moss, the great and the good of the industry descended upon the Tate Modern to attend Gucci’s cruise 2025 show on Monday. Sandwiched between Lila Moss and Demi Moore on the front row was none other than Debbie Harry, who paired her distinctive silver-toned blonde hair with a glossy black manicure.
As vampy as you might expect from the Blondie frontwoman – who made grunge glamorous and cool – Harry’s almond-shaped nails were painted jet black and finished with a high-shine top coat. Along with her platform horsebit loafers, Harry’s manicure provided a statement element to an otherwise simple outfit of a white tee and trousers. Who needs elaborate clothing when you’re Debbie Harry?
At 78, she is proof that getting older doesn’t mean saying goodbye to your beauty signatures. While her hair is softer in tone than it was in her peroxide days, Harry is still rocking her trademark heavy eye make-up (rose-toned at the Gucci show) and statement manicure, some 50 years later. A true beauty icon if ever we saw one.
